SYMLS are pleased to welcome Dr Hemaya who has been an Emergency Medicine Consultant at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals for the past decade, having previously completed his under and post graduate training in Sheffield. He commenced his medical examiner role in 2018 and has been the Lead Medical Examiner for the Trust since 2020 and has a passionate interest in this aspect of his work.

With the national statutory introduction of the Medical Examiner Service from April 2024, the whole process of death certification and registration will change instantly. The aim of this presentation will be to provide an update of both regional and national developments.

This is a hybrid event, with a link for online attendance, or you are welcome to join us in person. It will be held at the Law Society Hall, 8 Campo Lane, S1 2EF. There will be complimentary wine and we look forward to welcoming members old and new.
